The eighth installment of Novotek is led by the last and most recent addition to Novo´s family. Nuria Ghia debuts on Novotek with “Warm Hands EP”, an effective work which features the musical aesthetic usually offered by the Catalan artist on her sets.
A solid and effective style that Nuria showcases successfully in each and every one of her performances, far removed from the passing trends.
“Say Yeah” opens the release; a percussive exercise marked by a few deep beats, guided by a constant groove and powerful rhythms. The remixes are spearheaded by LEIX and HITCH, as both artists return to join forces again and fuse together their usual groovy sounds. The first remix, “LEIX & HITCH Raw Remix”, boasts a powerful and direct groove that kicks on the stomach and leaves you breathless. The second remix keeps the same aesthetic as the first, but features more luminous flashes thanks to a sexy and jackin´bassline. The powerful bass supports the entire weight of the mixture and brings an apex of freshness able to move any kind of dance floor. Finally, “Warm Hands” culminates the EP with a piece guided by a cyclical and techy groove complete with percussive elements.
An excellent release lit up by multiple layers of analogue varnish applied with much dedication and extreme caution by Dutchman Wim Bult, one of the masters of mastering in the Netherlands. Without a doubt, one of the most prominent releases for this winter.
